Low-voltage subcontractor · Data centers
Low-voltage crews that show up ready to pull, terminate and certify.
PurTera is the low-voltage subcontractor for data center builds, fit-outs and migrations. Our crews arrive screened and badged to your site's requirements, work your drawings from the meet-me room to the cabinet, and hand back labeled, tested, documented links — not a punch list.

01
What our crews do on a data center floor.
The whole low-voltage scope, or the part of it your schedule is missing.
- CU
Copper backbone & horizontal
Cat6 and Cat6A pulls through overhead and underfloor pathways, terminations at the panel and the cabinet, dress-out to the bundle radius your spec calls for.
- FO
Fiber
OS2 and OM4 trunks, MPO/MTP cassettes and breakouts, fusion splicing, cross-connects and jumper runs between the MMR, MDA and HDA.
- PW
Pathways
Ladder rack, basket tray, fiber duct and underfloor routes — installed, supported and bonded, with firestop coordinated at every penetration.
- RS
Rack & stack
Cabinet builds, rails and PDUs, device mounting, and patching to the port map so the network team plugs into what the drawing says.
- TC
Test & certification
Copper certified per link; fiber Tier 1 loss/length and Tier 2 OTDR where your spec requires. Results delivered per link, not per bundle.
- LD
Labeling & as-builts
Labels to your scheme in the TIA-606 style, port maps and as-built drawings returned with the closeout — the record your next crew will work from.
- MC
Moves, adds, changes & decommission
Cutover windows, cross-connect changes, cabinet decommissions with chain of custody on every removed asset.
02
From your request to a crew on your floor.
01
You send the scope
Trade, headcount, site, start window, drawings if you have them, and what the facility requires to get in. That is enough for a crew plan, not a discovery call.
02
We screen and badge to your site
Background check, drug screen, E-Verify, and whatever your facility adds — submitted ahead of the start date, not on day one at the gate. Plan on one to two weeks from signed scope to a badged crew; the site's screening lead time drives it.
03
We mobilize
Drawings walked, JHA written, tools and consumables staged, escort and hours confirmed with the facility. The lead knows the floor before the crew does.
04
We install to the drawings
Pull, route, dress, terminate. Deviations go back to your PM in writing before they go into the tray.
05
We test, label and document
Every link certified and labeled as it lands; photos and results captured in PurPulse the same shift, not reconstructed at closeout.
06
You get a closeout, not a punch list
Test reports per link, as-builts, port maps, photo record and the access log — assembled from the shift records, ready for your audit.
- 1
Rack ID label
Top front, matching the floor grid reference on the drawing.
- 2
MPO/MTP cassette panel
Trunks land here; each cassette labeled with its far-end position.
- 3
Panel ID and port range
Every copper panel carries its ID and the port range it terminates.
- 4
Horizontal manager
One manager per panel pair, so the bundle never crosses a port field.
- 5
Switch, patched to the port map
Patch cords cut to length and labeled at both ends.
- 6
Bundle dressed to bend radius
Cat6A and fiber enter from the tray and are dressed, not stuffed.
- 7
Vertical PDU
Power and data separated; nothing shares a manager with a cord.
03
We clear your gate before we book the crew.
A restricted facility has its own definition of available. Your site's requirements come in with the request, every technician is screened to them before a start date exists, and a certificate of insurance is on request.
01
Identity & right-to-work
E-Verify at hiring.
02
Background check
To the lookback your site specifies.
03
Drug screen
To the panel your site specifies.
04
Client-specific screening
Credit, clearance or vendor programs where the facility requires them.
05
Safety orientation
Site rules, escort policy and PPE before the first shift.
06
Badge submission
Paperwork assembled and submitted ahead of the start date.
04
Installed, labeled and tested to the standard your spec calls for.
We work to the specification on your drawings. These are the references it usually names, and what comes back with the work.

Returned with the work
- Copper certification report per link
- Fiber Tier 1 loss/length, Tier 2 OTDR traces where specified
- As-built drawings and port maps
- Label schedule
- Photo record per task
- Daily crew and site-access log
05
You see what the crew did, not just that they showed up.
PurTera crews work through PurPulse, our field-execution platform. Photo evidence, label verification and test results are captured on the floor during the shift — so the closeout package is a record of the work, not a reconstruction of it.
- Photo evidence per task
- Label verification against the drawings
- Test results attached to the link
- Daily crew log and site-access record
- Closeout package assembled as the work completes
06
Subcontract the scope, or crew up the one you own.
01
Scope subcontract
We take the low-voltage scope under your contract — drawings, materials coordination, install, test, closeout — and report to your PM.
02
Crew augmentation
Our technicians under your lead, on your scope, for the pull, the dress-out or the test week you are short on.
03
Contract-to-hire
Evaluate on your floor. Convert the technicians you want to keep.
Pricing: Fixed price per scope, quoted from your drawings and the site's requirements.
Cabling labor is a local problem with a national schedule. We source the crew near the project and travel where the project is — there is no home market and no list of metros we don't cover. Tell us the site; we tell you the real start date before you commit.

What GCs, integrators and operators ask first.
Do you work under the general contractor, or direct to the operator?
Either. Most of our data center work is subcontracted under a GC, electrical contractor or integrator's contract; operators and colocation providers bring us in directly for migrations, MACs and decommissions.
Whose drawings and specification?
Yours. We install to the drawings and the spec you issue. Where the field disagrees with the drawing, the deviation goes to your PM in writing before it goes into the tray.
Who supplies materials?
Your call. We can work customer-furnished material, or coordinate cable, connectivity and pathway materials to your spec and submit them for approval.
What do we get at closeout?
Test reports per link, as-built drawings, port maps, the label schedule, a photo record per task and the daily access log — assembled from the shift records in PurPulse.
Can your technicians get into a restricted facility?
We take the facility's requirements — background lookback, drug panel, client-specific screening, safety orientation, badge paperwork — with the request, and screen each technician to them before a start date is set.
Nights, weekends, cutover windows?
Yes. Tell us the shift pattern and the window in the request; live-hall work is planned around the change window, not squeezed into it.
How do I request a crew?
Use the request form: trade, headcount, site, start window, duration, shift pattern and badging requirements. We come back with availability and a crew plan.
